hello again! blog posts will likely not continue to be this frequent. don't get too excited. i just feel like yapping. LOL
the rhythm game arcade this weekend was SO amazing. if you're in NC, it's called xepher arcade and it is absolutely worth the visit. it's an arcade dedicated mostly to japanese import rhythm games, but they also have a small section of fighting game cabs and a few spots for console games. they even have a mahjong table. it's a really neat place with a great community attached to it, and reminds me a lot of game rooms at cons. we spent hours in there and had a ton of fun playing project diva and groove coaster while chatting with the staff and other patrons. i even got an ic card to save my game data on! i plan to go back soon!!
i wanna make another zine soon, but i think i have to print stuff for it and ughhh i don't feel like trudging over to the library to print stuff. i really need to get my own printer/scanner so i don't have to go into the wild to do it... will also probably save me money in the long run because staples charges you to scan things??? if anyone knows somewhere where i can do it for free let me know lol. my library doesn't offer scanning services, and my parents have a scanner but they live a half hour away. killer bangs printer era soon? maybe?
i'm really happy about the positive feedback i've gotten on my middle school zine! i worked super hard on it and i'm glad people like it :) it took a while from start to finish, but i'm quite happy with how it's turned out. i'd love to make physical copies to distribute, but i'm not sure how good it'll look in black and white... maybe i'll print some test copies and see.
excited about this upcoming zine though, it's gonna be about self-shipping i think. i just need to figure out what kinds of stuff i want to put in it. self-shipping is fun and people think its cringe but it's actually epic. cringe doesn't exist. free will is paramount. ship yourself with whoever the fuck you want. that will be the vibe of this new zine.
anywaysssss the omnibus volumes of fruits basket i borrowed from the library are calling my name, so i think i'll curl up and read before bed. until next time! xoxo

welcome to my first blog entry! woot woot! really excited that i'm finally getting this site up and running. one of my new year's resolutions was to pour myself into art, reading, and things that don't involve a ton of algorithmic social media or doomscrolling, so here we are. i've been really enjoying getting my hands into html again, and browsing the sites of other folks here. i love how creative everyone is and the unique ways people use their sites to convey that! i'm not super skilled with html, but i'm quite happy with how this site is turning out so far :) i wanna get a comments box or guestbook set up here soon, but i gotta find one i like and style it to fit with everything else!
lately i've been watching the righteous gemstones-- a dramedy HBO series about a televangelist megachurch family. it's hilarious. my brother has been watching a ton of danny mcbride stuff recently and reccommended it to me, and i really loved eastbound and down, so i had to watch it. i love it. there are so many awesome recurring gags (my favorite is when everyone is praying during a really serious moment and there's a bee buzzing around the room interrupting LMAO.) all of the characters are really funny and likeable and i've found myself rooting for all of them regardless of the conflicts going on at certain points in the show.
this weekend i'm hanging out w some friends at a local rhythm game arcade and doing a bit of stuff around the house. it'll be chill :) until next time!
